Cleanup crews chipped away at a 25-foot high boardwalk debris pile in Pier Village this frigid January morning. Meanwhile, most of the sand on Ocean Avenue following last week's storm was removed, allowing bikers and runners to resume their morning rituals.

A giant south swell and offshore winds combined on Friday to produce eight to twelve foot waves and classic conditions along the Jersey shore.
